About MMG
The Midwest Miniature Guild was formed in 1984 by a
group of Twin Cities miniaturists who, after hosting a N.A.M.E.
(National Association of Miniature Enthusiasts) Regional Houseparty,
discussed the possibility of establishing a non-profit organization
that would promote the hobby of miniature creation and
collecting. Letters were sent to all the various miniature clubs
in the Minneapolis and St. Paul area, inviting members to attend a
meeting of a new guild. Around 60 people attended that first
meeting, and that number has now grown to over 200 miniature lovers
from five Midwestern states!
Meetings
Meetings are held three times a year - February, May and
October. The meetings are held at the Mermaid Entertainment and
Event Center in Mounds View. Registration begins at 9:00 and
meetings conclude by 3:00 p.m.
Cost
The cost of the meeting is usually $20.00.
Additional fees are charged based on the workshops or round tables you
attend.
